Felicia handles the evaluation, development, and implementation of Sellers Dorsey’s HR procedures and functions. To support our nationwide staff, she carries out ongoing HR functions, some of which include benefits administration, onboarding of new employees, affirmative-action compliance, policy and procedure implementation, compensation and employee reviews, and labor-law compliance. Felicia helps our management team with identifying needs and gaps and developing programs that align with the firm’s objectives of quality, productivity, and professional development.
Prior to joining Sellers Dorsey, Felicia served as the Manager for Human Resources Administration & Finance with SEPTA (the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority), overseeing a multimillion-dollar budget through the review, investigation, and approval of all department spending requests. She also led the research, writing, and implementation of all policies, ensuring their alignment with all related federal, state, and local laws, as well as union and non-union procedures and agreements. Felicia also ensured the completion of background investigations for all new hires, and she managed the coaching and counseling of members of staff, as well as any necessary disciplinary action. Before her work with SEPTA, Felicia served as the Senior Human Resources Generalist with the Cozen O’Connor, a large, international law firm headquartered in Philadelphia, and as the Human Resources Manager with Deasey, Mahoney, Valentini & North, an insurance defense litigation firm also headquartered in Philadelphia.
