Nancy Kohler

Vice President, Business Operations

Nancy has a comprehensive portfolio of experience that includes both large- and small-scale public health program operations, policy development, implementation, fiscal analysis, and strategic positioning. She spent over 20 years at KePRO, now Acentra Health, dedicating the last 6 years of her tenure as the VP, Public Programs. In this role she managed a staff of more than 125 employees that provided integrated care management solutions to Medicaid patients in several states. Her years of experience allow her to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, leverage performance management, organizational effectiveness, and process improvement to boost efficiency, drive innovation and most importantly deliver results. During her time at Sellers Dorsey, Nancy used her extensive health care industry experience to provide in-depth innovative solutions to our clients on alternative health care risk-based payment models. She guided the firm’s continued development of a leading-edge national consulting value transformation service line and was responsible for the first Sellers Dorsey-designed quality improvement programs. She focused on providing consultative services including value-based program design, implementation, integration, and alignment to improving patient care outcomes.

Current Responsibility

Nancy oversees the Medicaid Finance (MF) Operations team and business process improvement initiatives. Providing leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that that the MF practice has proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and systems in place to effectively support the growth of the firm. By partnering with MF leadership teams and internal stakeholders, Nancy works to improve operational and financial performance across multiple practices, and programs by developing and standardizing work processes.

Nancy works as a Vice President, working on many of Sellers Dorsey value-based care payment arrangements, where she uses her leadership and expertise in quality improvement to provide strategic direction to the firm on Medicaid financing projects. As a subject matter expert in quality improvement, she provides guidance to our firm’s clients, working closely with our firm’s quality team, as well as our client-servicing teams. Nancy joined Sellers Dorsey after working for over 35 years at a national quality improvement organization and the Department of Human Services in PA. Nancy uses this quality improvement experience to help develop and implement innovative strategies and creative approaches to Medicaid quality improvement initiatives within managed care delivery systems.
