Before joining Sellers Dorsey, Mike served as CEO of Pyramid Health Services for two years, where he oversaw key strategic growth initiatives for large and small MCOs. Before his time at Pyramid Health Services, Mike was the Plan President in Arkansas for Highmark. Notably, he and a group of providers successfully designed a care coordination model for community engagement, which led to a reduction in emergency department admissions and re-admissions by over 25% through HIE technology optimization. Mike was also the Chief Growth officer at Highmark, VP Business Development – Western Region at UHC, also Chief Information Officer at UHC.  Throughout his career Mike has secured over $18 Billion dollars of new business by winning competitive MCO bids.  Mike has never lost a planned competitive MCO RFP bid in Medicaid.

Current Responsibility

Drawing from his experience as a health plan president, CIO and Growth Officer, Mike supports Sellers Dorsey clients such as managed care organizations (MCOs) by providing strategic guidance related to health care operations, strategic growth, payment model design, payment model deployment, technology strategy and Medicaid network contracting. Mike is a former health plan executive whose areas of expertise lie in strategic growth, operations, technology, network builds, provider led models, strategic market penetration and expansion, and stakeholder engagement. His focus is to help MCOs achieve operational and growth excellence and help drive the implementation of new market expansion and health plan recovery. Mike supports large national payers in strategic growth, design, deployment and operations while supporting multiple software solutions with market engagement, pitch design, and Managed Care value proposition mapping for higher sales success.
