Marisa has an established reputation in Medicaid with over 20 years professional experience. Prior to joining Sellers Dorsey, Marisa served the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Medicaid and CHIP Program Policy and led key program policy and development initiatives. Marisa also has state and federal legislative experience and spent the first part of her career working in the nonprofit sector.

Marisa is a health care policy professional providing strategic guidance, technical expertise, and stakeholder engagement to managed care plans, government entities, and solution partners.
