Bill Lucia is the former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of HMS, a leading healthcare analytics and technology company. He served as CEO from 2009 to 2021 and was named Chairman of the Board of Directors in July 2015. HMS was acquired by Gainwell Technologies, a portfolio company of Veritas Capital, in April 2021 for approximately $3.4 billion. Bill and his leadership team transformed HMS into a high-performance culture by empowering its 3,200 people to act with urgency and excellence to tackle healthcare’s biggest challenges. Before becoming CEO, Bill served as HMS’ president and chief operating officer. Bill has since published a book about cultural change and leadership titled “Leading With Your Head And Your Heart.” Bill serves on several Boards in the healthcare space including Consonance Capital Partners, Health Enterprise Partners, Alivia Analytics, and more.
