I first became interested in Sellers Dorsey while I was in graduate school studying public policy and discovered an internship position. Sellers Dorsey fit my educational requirements, but I was most drawn to the company’s Medicaid engagements as it presented an opportunity to improve the health care experience for some of our country’s most vulnerable populations.
I work on our value-based care initiatives, focusing on quality performance measurement and improvement efforts.
I get to work with a range of clients across the nation. Most of them are states, hospitals, and universities.
I really enjoy the people I get to work with! I can’t wait to return to the office post COVID-19 and continue growing those relationships in person. I appreciate the opportunity to work with such experienced colleagues, including former Medicaid directors, industry organization leaders, and all around truly talented individuals. Many of my colleagues have different opinions or approaches because of their own experiences, which means there is always someone to learn from!
The momentum for value-based care shows little signs of stopping and as a result, our clients’ interest in implementing value-based care initiatives has grown.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions! I’m very fortunate to have started my career at Sellers Dorsey. People at all levels of the firm, including leadership, are accessible and helpful. Their support of both my professional and personal goals has allowed me to grow tremendously over the years here and positions me well for success in the future.
