Washington 1115 Waiver Renewal

On June 30, CMS approved the extension of Washington’s 1115 Demonstration Waiver, which means the state will continue to evaluate the effectiveness of innovative projects to best serve the Medicaid population and advance high-quality care.

The renewal preserves and extends several authorities formerly authorized, including:

  • Medicaid Alternative Care and Tailored Supports for Older Adults Programs.
  • Foundational Community Supports.
  • Substance Use Disorder and Serious Mental Illness Programs.
