As the body of evidence linking social needs and health outcomes grows, states have increasingly utilized section 1115 waivers to pilot innovative programs that address social determinants of health.

During this year’s season, 47 states are slated to enact their budgets. The Sellers Dorsey team has put together a special report summarizing states’ overall proposed budgets, as well as their specific Medicaid spending plans and program changes for the year ahead.
