Sellers Dorsey is excited to announce that Sasha Rasco, former Texas Chief Prevention and Community Well-Being Office and Texas Associate Commissioner for Family Support Services, is joining the firm as Associate Director for Child and Family Well-Being.
Sasha is a national child and family well-being leader with more than 25 years of experience in leading state agencies in providing services across the spectrum of child welfare, early childhood education, and maternal and child health. Her years of service to children and families in Texas were recognized by the state legislature, who honored her dedication to improving lives across the state in this state senate resolution. She oversaw Texas’ regulation of over 35,000 childcare, foster care, and adoption agencies, and led the state’s efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect for over a decade, including oversight of the state’s Families First Prevention Services Act work as well as the management of the federal Maternal and Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting and Community-Based Child Abuse Prevention Grants. She has received numerous awards from stakeholder associations, belonged to collaboratives within healthcare, the judiciary, and other fields, has served on the board of two national organizations (the National Children’s Trust Fund Alliance and the National Association for Regulatory Administration), and has also worked in the Early Intervention Program for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities (IDEA Part C).
Sasha’s wealth of practical experience across the field makes her perfectly positioned to join our Child and Family Well-Being team and provide our firm and clients with strategic guidance, leadership, and expertise as we continue to work together to improve quality, access, and outcomes of care for children and families across the country.
