1115 Waiver Approvals Addressing Health-Related Social Needs

On September 28, 2022, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved two monumental 1115 waiver extensions – MassHealth and Oregon Health Plan. On October 14, 2022, CMS approved the extension of the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Demonstration.

These demonstrations support these states’ Medicaid programs to better serve their members and sustain healthcare access and quality to include authorities to provide targeted services to address health-related social needs.
