Irene works on project design and implementation for clients in several areas, including Medicaid financing, Medicaid managed care, business development, provider policy, and reimbursement. She brings a strong background in health care policy to the team, with experience in both public and private-sector roles. Additionally, Irene serves as a member of the firm’s Next Generation group, a committee of emerging leaders, experts and staff from across the organization.
Before Joining Sellers Dorsey, Irene served most recently as a Health Insurance Specialist Intern with CMS, reviewing health care policies and conducting analyses of healthcare program initiatives and data. While there, she worked on the Medicaid expansion in Virginia, the first state to expand under the Trump administration. Prior to this role, she also worked as a healthcare consultant with McBee Associates, taking on a wide array of engagements that include revenue cycle assessment, process improvement, project management, and EMR software implementation. Alongside her professional path, Irene focused her education on healthcare policy, and throughout her studies, she served as a project management graduate intern with Temple University Hospital.
