Matt Onstott brings 20 years of analytics and Medicaid policy expertise to Sellers Dorsey. Matt manages client initiatives from design to delivery and implementation, working with clients and fellow project team members on an array of initiatives in Medicaid financing, Medicaid managed care, business development, and provider policy and reimbursement.
Matt most recently served as Senior Vice President, Data Analytics, at Finity, Inc., where he supervised project management and data analytics staff, as well as led for policy development and dissemination initiatives. Prior to Finity, Inc., Matt previously served as Deputy Director at the New Mexico Human Services Department, where he directed policy, financial, and operational components of the Medicaid program and was responsible for managing the State’s Medicaid budget of over $5 billion. He managed operations of the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), and he was also responsible for all financial functions including rate setting, payment and delivery system reform, as well as quality improvement initiatives. Prior to that role, Matt was Vice President for Medicaid Policy, Government Affairs, at UnitedHealth Group, where he identified initiatives that supported key business objectives and business development opportunities through a strategic approach of engaging Medicaid business leadership. Matt was also the Deputy Secretary at New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department. In this role, he oversaw operations of four of the Department’s five divisions and all administrative, financial, and human resource functions.
