Drawing from his experience running a health plan, Mike supports Sellers Dorsey clients such as managed care organizations (MCOs) by providing strategic guidance related to health care operations and state contracting. Mike is a former health plan executive whose areas of expertise lie in strategic growth, operations, market penetration and expansion, and stakeholder engagement. His focus is to help MCOs achieve operational excellence and help drive the implementation of new market expansion.
Before joining Sellers Dorsey, Mike served as CEO of Pyramid Health Services for two years, where he oversaw key strategic growth initiatives. Before his time at Pyramid Health Services, Mike was the Plan President of Highmark, Inc. in Pittsburgh. Notably, he and a group of providers successfully designed a care coordination model for community engagement, which led to a reduction in emergency department admissions and re-admissions. Mike was also the Chief Growth officer at Highmark, where he developed a strategic growth plan and secured billions of dollars in new business by winning bids.
