Current Responsibility
Marisa is a health care policy professional providing strategic guidance, technical expertise and stakeholder engagement to managed care plans, government entities, and solution partners. She provides strategic recommendations and in-depth research to help clients evaluate policy and program initiatives, leverage federal authorities for additional flexibilities, and implement delivery system and payment reform.
Experience
Prior to joining Sellers Dorsey, Marisa spent over 13 years working for the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), the state agency responsible for Texas’s Medicaid program. She most recently served in Medicaid-CHIP Policy and Program Development, where she led a team responsible for program and policy development, oversight, and implementation of multiple managed care and fee-for-service programs and initiatives. Marisa also previously served as a Senior Policy Advisor for Medicaid-CHIP Operations. In this role, she managed several key Medicaid managed care initiatives.
