Tanya works on engagements from program design to implementation, collaborating with both clients and team members on initiatives in Medicaid financing, managed care, and provider policy and reimbursement. She brings an expert perspective to the team, having held a number of health care and financial leadership roles throughout her career.
Prior to her current role with Sellers Dorsey, Tanya worked as a Sales Operations Manager with GE Healthcare for nearly seven years, as a Financial Analyst with Procter & Gamble before then, and also as a Principal with Hilltop Slate, Inc., providing operations guidance in sales, finance, marketing, strategic planning, and human resources. Prior to all of these roles, Tanya also served as National Deputy Organizing Director – Health Systems Division with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). Working in this role for more than 12 years, she developed keen leadership skills throughout many projects and initiatives, including organizing and recruitment campaigns as well as hospital growth campaigns across the country. Tanya campaigned to become the Democratic Congressional Candidate in New York’s 21st district, a Republican-leaning swing district. Though she ended her campaign due to an overcrowded field, she was the top female fundraiser among 11 primary opponents at the end of 2017.
