Marty is the co-founder and CEO of Sellers Dorsey. With 30+ years’ experience in the public and private sectors, his novel healthcare approaches have impacted nationwide reforms at both state and federal levels, including the development of the groundbreaking universal healthcare program in Massachusetts. Before founding Sellers Dorsey, Marty also helped forge one of the largest state-based government relations firms in the country.
As co-owner of Sellers Dorsey, Brian Dorsey works with the CEO to develop organizational strategy and direction. He has served as Communications Director for two statewide healthcare organizations and has worked as an independent public relations consultant. Brian provides a history of knowledge of the firm and its vision since its inception in 2000. He offers council on driving the corporate mission and works with the COO to ensure that innovative management concepts are used to improve operations.
Donna is responsible for financial reporting, budgets and forecasts, tax planning, benefits administration, corporate compliance, and contract administration. She came to Sellers Dorsey in 2009 after 20 years of working with Health Watch where she also served as Chief Financial Officer, before the company was bought by Royal Philips Electronics. During the transition, Donna remained with the company to ensure a smooth transfer of all accounting functions, billing and collections, information technology, and human resources.
Chris is a key relationship developer for the firm. Not only has he built the firm’s marketing and communications platform, he also works with states and stakeholders on Medicaid transformation and reform. His work on media-relations strategy, advertising, corporate sponsorships, and company branding has helped the firm’s sales force achieve measurably high rates of success.
Brian leads the development of Sellers Dorsey’s corporate strategic plan, aligning the firm’s objectives with current market trends and changes in policy. With a background in consulting for the firm as well, Brian still directs several Medicaid financing engagements with clients, leveraging years of experience working with states, counties, hospitals, and nursing homes across the country.
Nancy ensures the delivery of contracts spanning fifteen states. Her Medicaid reimbursement experience has yielded clients at least $210 million in new federal Medicaid reimbursement in the last three years, and her expertise includes Medicaid financing, quantitative research, statistical analysis and UPL programs in managed care and fee-for-service.
Fran serves as the firm’s General Counsel, advising on contracting, compliance, and healthcare policy. She also lends her policy expertise to several client engagements, covering a wide range of issues that include federal and state Medicaid statutes and regulations, and for more than 35 years, she has been providing advice and counsel within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Gary Jessee assists states, managed care organizations, service providers, and support vendors working within Medicaid. For 20+ years, he’s worked in health and human services at state and national levels, and his successful tenure in Texas state government comprises several leadership roles, including State Medicaid Director.
Spearheading the firm’s California-based team, Michele brings years of organizing experience to the table, most notably her tenure working for Service Employees International Union (SEIU) as their Safety-Net Program Co-Director. With Sellers Dorsey, she works to secure funding for vital providers of public healthcare, and she has provided technical and policy expertise for client initiatives across the country which strengthen and improve access to healthcare services.
Mark leads the development of Sellers Dorsey’s national Medicaid financing business expansion strategy. Being the second employee hired by the firm, he has held several positions during his tenure in both client servicing and sales, and his work has helped gain hundreds of millions of dollars in additional federal funds for clients.
Bringing thirty years of Pennsylvania government experience to Sellers Dorsey, Ann provides our Harrisburg team with strategic guidance and project leadership. On top of Medicaid funding, healthcare reimbursement, and health and human service policy, she is also well versed in PA’s budgeting process, governmental programs, and political acumen, making her an invaluable asset to clients.
