Many states have opted to enroll veterans living in state-funded veterans' homes in the Medicaid program in order to increase federal Medicaid dollars. As part of this type of initiative, states certify their state-owned veterans' homes as Medicaid providers and enroll eligible veterans in their Medicaid programs. As a result of one successful veterans' initiative, one of Sellers Dorsey's state clients is currently drawing $25 million in additional funding each year.
