With more than 15 years of healthcare policy and political experience at both the state and federal levels, Chris manages strategy, marketing, development and client services at Sellers Dorsey. Recognizing that transformative change in health care requires political strategy development and implementation, Chris brings his years of experience in policy and politics to client engagements.
A former Capitol Hill staffer and legislative director for the Human Rights Campaign, Chris works with clients, states, health care companies and advocacy organizations to create partnerships and help improve health care access and affordability. He understands that coalition building and mobilizing stakeholder support is critical to the enactment and implementation of reform. Prior to the Human Rights Campaign, Chris worked for the United States House of Representatives in the office Representative Bob Weygand (D-RI), providing guidance on issues related to Medicaid, Medicare, family planning and payments for home healthcare providers under the Medicare system.
With years of legislative experience, Chris maintains strong ties to Washington, DC by tracking federal legislative initiatives for the Sellers Dorsey team and our clients. He participates in National Governors Association, Democratic Governors Association and Republican Governors Association events around the country. Chris offers a highly proficient skill set as one who has worked with private entities to understand healthcare and help them become active stakeholders in the reform process.
Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Communications from the University of Rhode Island.
