Peggy brings nearly 30 years of healthcare policy, fiscal and political experience as she works closely with governors and state officials to develop comprehensive Medicaid and healthcare reform proposals.

After playing a key role in the groundbreaking, widely acclaimed Massachusetts healthcare plan implemented during Governor Mitt Romney's administration, Peggy has gone on to oversee development of several reform initiatives for states across the country.  As Sellers Dorsey's lead negotiator with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, she has assisted states with achieving increased Medicaid funding through various strategies to support health care reform.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Handrich worked 27 years for the State of Wisconsin, holding several principal positions.  For six of those years, she served as Wisconsin's Administrator of the Division of Health Care Financing under Governors Tommy Thompson and Scott McCallum. During her tenure in the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, Peggy managed Wisconsin Medicaid, BadgerCare, SeniorCare (senior pharmacy assistance program), Food Stamp & Disability Determination Programs and the Wisconsin Health Insurance Risk Sharing Pool.

Peggy obtained a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
