With over 30 years of experience, Pris leads our healthcare reform efforts to improve access, quality, cost-effectiveness and expansion of coverage to the uninsured. Pris provides the strategic consulting, technical policy assistance and exceptional project management needed to assist clients in the development of broad-based health care reform initiatives through Medicaid, CHIP and state-based reform.
Currently, Pris spearheads the firm's work for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's health care reform proposal ‘Expanded adultBasic' and co-leads the firm's team on advancing state priorities in the new federal environment through economic stimulus (ARRA), children's health (CHIPRA), and the new State Health Access Program (SHAP) Grants.
Prior to her work at Sellers Dorsey, Pris worked 27 years for the State of Wisconsin. As former Deputy Administrator of the Division of Health Care Financing for the State of Wisconsin, she was responsible for administration of Medicaid, BadgerCare, SeniorCare, Disability Determination, Food Stamps, Eligibility, the State's High Risk Insurance Plan, and Vital and Health Statistics. Among other accomplishments, she was responsible for implementation of the nation's first SCHIP waiver program to extend coverage to parents as well as children. She also supervised the Wisconsin Legislature's non-partisan health and tax policy teams.
Pris has a B.A. and a Masters in Public Policy Studies (M.P.P.) from the University of Michigan.
